ALBUM RELEASE “OR MATHILDE” SCHEDULED FOR 17 OCTOBER 2025!
La Marmite Infernale is an orchestra freed from most of the rules and dictates usually expected of a big band. It is committed to bringing to life an unprecedented instrumentarium.
Within the orchestra, each musician takes turns being a composer, performer, or artistic director.
La Marmite Infernale is the space where its members shape an expressionist universe, blending free jazz, traditional music, classical repertoire, and even garage punk—always leaving a prominent place for improvisation.
The orchestra unfolds a wide palette of sounds: melodies, complex rhythms, and a taste for organised chaos. A free, irreverent approach to music, carried by a contagious energy.
With a new collective vitality—an unprecedented large-scale alliance between the musicians of the ensemble and invited artists from diverse disciplines—La Marmite Infernale comes together once again for its new album in 2025.
