This third edition of the ephemeral orchestra of La Granada aims to preserve, highlight, and claim the existence of a global cultural heritage. Traditional music is a powerful tool for exchange, communication, and openness to others (neighbors, foreigners). About forty amateur and professional musicians, locals, from other regions of France, and from other countries, are invited to this residency.

Participants will pass on and arrange a selection of traditional music orally, accompanied by three professional musicians from ARFI.

A concert featuring a dozen pieces will be created, interpreting traditional music with contemporary musical arrangements.

After five days of workshops, the ephemeral orchestra will begin a series of concerts:

• Thursday, August 15, in Dernacueillette and Friday, August 16, in Villesèque-des-Corbières. It’s an opportunity for participants to explore the area (hiking, landscapes, discovering local producers and artists).
• End-of-residency concert in Villerouge-Termenès, closing a festive day in the village (musical skits, performances, street walks, etc.).

The pieces will be shared collectively and orally (no sheet music), transformed as desired by the orchestra, and then performed in surrounding villages!

• 6 days of meetings and creation in Villerouge-Termenès
• 2 days of concerts in the villages of Hautes Corbières
• 1 festive day and a final concert in Villerouge-Termenès
• 9 days of musical excitement and various discoveries
• Camping accommodation on-site in Villerouge-Termenès
